U.S. Census Bureau Maps
Printable maps of each state with county boundaries, and also maps for each county.

Reference and Outline Maps are available for the United States and each individual state. You can choose maps showing boundaries, geology, transportation or water. For each state there are four types of maps: reference, county, county with selected cities and towns, and rivers and lakes. These simple maps can be used to mark locations where your ancestors lived and track migration.

Click on the time line across the top of the screen to change the year, and click on the box at the top left to select a foreign-born group and see how they settled across the United States.
