Counties Putting Records Online

Some counties are working to digitize and preserve their records and then make them available to researchers online.

Hamilton County, Ohio is one example with birth, delayed birth, corrected birth, death, marriage, estate, naturalization, guardianships and other records.
Go online to www.probatect.org, and click on Records Search, then Archive Search. The indexes are in pdf format. Search the index to get the volume and page number, and then go into the record type to find the images.

Let's hope that more counties preserve and make their records accessible in this manner!
